I keep letting ppl go whenever they do the lil friend dance! Last ha e I let everyone go bcuz a Cheryl tried to befriend me instead of running when I hit her, and the game before that I let the last guy go bcuz he shook his head no after I downed him and I felt bad. I mean, I’m not actually upset or anything, this is just a little thing idk. I gotta go try to kill ppl now

2021.11.27 05:40 okeanios Is there a legitimate reason apartment complexes don't always allow reptiles?

Or is it just because they personally don't like reptiles/amphibians? I know dogs and cats can damage a unit, birds could cause a lot of noise, and even a fish tank could have a leak and cause water damage. Reptiles and amphibians seem like the perfect pet for an apartment though. No smell if you keep the enclosure clean, no noise, they rarely escape and if they do they wouldn't try to get outside (at least from what I've seen when peoples reptiles escape), and no part of their enclosure could cause any damage to an apartment like water or anything like that. It's just so weird to me, I can only think about people not liking reptiles as a reason why they wouldn't want them in their apartment complex.
It's also worrying to me looking into grad school housing and seeing that most on campus grad housing doesn't allow reptiles and amphibians, lol. I really don't want to rehome my pets just for school.

I am old and haven't played halo since halo 2 where I spent thousands of hours in multiplayer. I have 150 or so matches in infinite and cannot for the life of me remember to use the abilities we pick up, old school halo is just embedded in my brain even after all these years, anyone else have the same problem?

2021.11.27 05:40 widmerpool_nz Homicide: Life on the Streets Review - S01E03 - Night Of the Dead Living

My Rating: 3/5 stars
Man, you can just feel the heat as a lone Giardello enters the office (is that what it's called? Station? Precinct?) at night with sweat dripping off him as he checks the defunct air-con. Felton joins him and wonders who always lights a candle that is atop the water collar. The rest of the crew drift in in dribs and drabs and I wonder why they need so many homicide detectives for the graveyard shift before remembering that we are after all in Baltimore. I'm guessing our guys are just one group of many that work rotating shifts while keeping to the same team.
Officer Thormann leads in a young black kid and there's a library book that pertains to the Adena Watson case. Pembleton knows the area and wonders why she was dumped where she was.
Lots of cops make and take personal phone calls in the down time. The heat seems to be causing some of them to get tetchy. Most people except Pembleton are losing their ties and loosening clothes. He doesn't even have a sheen. Howard has a moment where she cries and the black cleaning woman consoles her.
Pembleton and Bayliss discuss Adena's murder and her interaction with a neighbourhood man with a horse who's maybe what we Brits would call a Rag and bone nan.
Finally, some comic relief when a cuffed Santa gets brought in. I must admit I missed why he's been brought into homicide when it looks like the weapon used was a water-pistol. Unless I missed it, there's been no mention so far that this episode is set in the run up to Christmas.
Felton and Lewis discuss The Mystery of the Eternally Lit Candle. They blow the candle out and agree to stake it out. Santa has escaped.
Gee (as Giardello is known to his people) returns from the basement, where he's been trying to get the air-con fixed. He had no joy but he did find a new born baby in what looks like a bird cage. I never know whether I should specify the race of any newly introduced character. Does it matter? Will it be crucial to the story? Anyway, the child is black and a girl. Someone calls social services and one turns up. She's no-nonsense and wants to take the baby off to foster care.
The candle has been relit.
The cleaner rushes in screaming that her baby has been stolen. That clears that up. She leaves it downstairs in a cage in case of rats while she works. Now she's rightly worried she'll be kept from her permanently after being taken by them once before. The police seem to be on her side but she's resistant to their help.
Bolander returns with the (still unnamed) baby. We return to the various personal storylines.
And then Santa falls though the ceiling. Huh? I have no idea what this story line is about.
Much better is Pembleton and Bayliss back on the Adena case. This is what I want to watch, not some silly Baby Jesus & Bad Santa stuff. Felton and Howard also know the area and some tiny detail from Bayliss (was her body carried downstairs and not upstairs as they previously thought?) opens up lot of new lines of investigation.
Giardello calls the whole crew up to the roof, where he sprays them all with a hose.
Munch is the candle lighter.
This episode was quite the change from the first two. It's set wholly within the station area where they all work when the others had scenes on location. The Santa plot was pretty pointless and the "baby at Christmas" plot was pretty forced. I did like the slow movement in the Adena case that feels true to life where things happen over days and weeks and nothing is all tied up neatly in a bow after one episode.
The change up in the opening with the title card, "One hot night, last September..." was neat for this being the third episode
Random Observations

My Favourite Character of the Episode
Howard. I haven't been justifying why I choose a particular character and I feel like I should: I like how she's the only female homicide detective on the squad and there's no sexism or crude jokes and she's just "one of the guys" for want of a better expression.
Memorable Quotes
Crosetti: He types with all his fingers. Amazing
Bolander: I know what to do with a dead body. I do not know what to do with a live baby
Pembleton: People have actually been known to drown to death in their own sweat Giardello: Take off that tie, Frank
As always with Giardello's quotes, it's the way he delivers them that makes them

2021.11.27 05:40 Electrical_Potato_21 People who diversify your MOONs, which projects do you swap for?

Moon week is here, and hopefully on the day of distribution we all get a nice chunk of moons sent our way.
My moon holdings are still fairly low, but some of the people who have been around for a while might have quite a stack at this point. Now one of the tentpole advise in crypto seems to be diversify your portfolio, so I am curious to know if you also apply this to your moon holdings?
Do any of you diversify your moon holdings, and if so, how big of a percentage? And which projects do you swap into?

Hi all! I recently purchased the Osprey Tempest 20 to go day hiking and have found it really difficult to insert my Source 2 liter water bladder into the hydration sleeve, and it's nearly impossible unless I take out the Velcro torso adjustment piece. The opening just seems really small and tight. Am I doing something wrong?

2021.11.27 05:40 reccaboo222 How can I be a better wife?

My parents didn’t have a healthy marriage (they still don’t) so I never learned from their example. My dad with several mental illnesses, my mom codependent and critical and judgmental of anything that moves. I often find myself criticizing my husband and sometimes belittling him. I feel awful about doing this. I love him and want to respect him but I sometimes just get so stuck in my own head. How can I be better?
